Why I Chose the Name TruNorth
I’m Kissmic, the founder of TruNorth Bookkeeping. With a background in accounting, administration, and client support, I’ve spent years helping business owners bring structure and peace of mind to their finances.
I didn’t just want a name that sounded good. I wanted a name that meant something—to me and to the people I serve.
For a long time, my life felt… off-course. I was working hard, juggling responsibilities, doing “all the right things,” but inside I felt lost—like I couldn’t quite find my way. Money, especially, felt heavy. It was either stressful or confusing, and nobody was talking about it in a way that felt honest or human.
When I started TruNorth, I knew I wanted to do more than bookkeeping. I wanted to create a space where people could finally exhale. Where the numbers made sense, the path felt clear, and decisions could be made with confidence.
TruNorth is about that moment when you finally find your compass—when you see where you are, where you’re headed, and know you can get there. It’s is about guidance that’s grounded in care, clarity, and truth—not judgment.
This work is personal for me. I’ve been where my clients are—trying to make sense of it all, trying to build something meaningful with what they have. And that’s why I care so deeply about helping people not just manage their money, but feel at peace with it.
